How to access learner's mastery certificate

To find the certificate:

• Log on to your teacher account.
• Click on Admin of the class **or the **grade the learner is in.

• Select and click on Manage class or Manage grade

• Once you are on the Manage class or Manage grade page, scroll down to the learner list.
• Type in the name of the learner under search.
• Once the name of the learner appears, click on Profile.

• Scroll down to Learner Certificates.
• Click on either Mathematics Grade or Physical Sciences Grade to open the certificate

• Once the certificate appears, you can click on download on the top right.
• Click on Choose different subject to open a certificate of another subject.

The learner certificate displays the following information

1. Mastery badge: This shows the percentage of the grade mastery, based on the total section stars earned divided by the total section stars available in the grade. It matches the mastery based on sections at the top of the Learner Dashboard as well as the percentage on the National Leaderboard.

2. Learner's current grade, the subject, and the current year

3. Topics and mastery percentages achieved:

• In Maths, they're usually referred to as "content areas" and in Science "knowledge strands"
• These are the big areas that make up each exam paper for a given subject
• The percentages are the average masteries for each topic, based on all the chapters and sections that make up each topic.

4. Learner's personal details:

• Siyavula ID - A unique marker that can be used to log in
• Sign-up date - the date that a learner signed up on Siyavula
• School - the name of the school that you chose when you signed up
• Certificate date - the date that the certificate was downloaded
• Public link - a link that a learner can share with people interested into viewing the certificate.
