Where to start There are many ways you can use Siyavula to support your teaching objectives, and starting by answering the questions below will give you some guidance as to where to start. Where do you want to use Siyavula? You can use Siyavula as part of your teaching, by showing learners examples, or by asking them to work on questions in class. How to track learner progress
School Activity Report
This report gives teachers an overview of their school’s activity, by subject, grade, and teacher. The report can be viewed online on the Siyavula website and downloaded as an Excel spreadsheet. The report measures a school’s activity against pre-determined key performance indicators (KPIs) that include registration, activity, and learning levels. For classes: The class assignment reports give detailed results for an assignment. When you click on the Assignments Reports link, you’ll see a list of the assignments that have been sent to that class. Clicking on the link takes you to the assignment report. The summary reports give teachers an easy-to-view, yet detailed, picture of how a class is using Siyavula. Learner practice will be shown for the year to date, and average mastery across all chapters in the curriculum. How to reset a learner's password
You can manage your classes from your teacher dashboard. Under each class name is the Overview link. Clicking on here will take you to a list of all the learners in your class. Sometimes learners create a new account instead of logging into the account they have previously created. This is because they either forget their log in credentials or they made a spelling mistake with the email address or in their name details. A user can update their personal details if they are able to log in. If you have individual classes set up on Siyavula, you can send your class access code to your learners via email or WhatsApp to allow them to join your class or you can give them the access code and they can link to your class via their home page.
