How to get started on a Premium Package


The Premium package allows you to assign work and track learners performance on grade groups, premium/real classes and supplementary classes


  • Grade Group is the automated allocation of registered learners at your school. Learners get linked here when they select a grade, school name and subject on their profile.


  • Premium/Real Class is the class that is created manually and can be used to allocate learners based on how they attend the Maths or Science lesson eg. Grade 8A, Grade 8B etc. Learners get linked manually by the teachers or by redeeming an access code. Class sizes are used to calculate registration and activity reports.


  • Supplementary Class is a specialized class that a teacher can create to support a specific group of learners. For example, in supplementary class, a teacher can link learners who are struggling on a certain concept and give them extra work. These classes will not affect the registration and activity reports.


Teachers with School Admin permissions will have access to the school dashboard. Click here to learn more about school admin access.


When you log-in on your account, you will land on your Teacher Dashboard which shows:

  1. Your Classes: this is where you will find the premium and supplementary classes
  2. Registered learners at your school: this is where learners are allocated automatically to grade groups
  3. Links to Reports and Tools


Your Classes


If you are already linked into classes, you will see the premium classes that you teach under Your Classes. Check to see if the classes are named correctly. These classes are created by Siyavula team or a teacher with school admin access at your school.


If your classes have not been created yet, there will be sign that says "upgrade to premium". Contact your HOD or School Admin to check when they will begin setting up classes.



Creating Supplementary classes:

To create your supplementary class, click Create Class under Your Classes.



Input the unique class name, class size, on class type select supplementary, input the grade and subject and then click Save.



Your supplementary class will be added at the bottom of the premium classes and will be indicated supplementary on brackets. It is only visible to you as well as the school admin. It works very similar to the premium class. Link yourself by clicking Manage Class so that you can find this class when you send assignments.



Linking learners in Your Classes


Learner have to create their own accounts, and redeem an access code once. The quicker way to link your learners is to request them to request to redeem an access code. Each class has its own unique access code, found under Admin below each class name. You could either write the access code on the board or share it with the learner via email or WhatsApp.
